The love of Art and Music has been his life long passion. His style is definite but his range varies from Cartoons to linear illustrations - line work defines his style. He paid his way through college drawing cartoons for corporations and magazines. He learned to paint signs the traditional way and it also helped subsidize his finances in college. His career path began as a Staff Artist at Channel 7 in Denver, Colorado in 1973. Art on a drawing board with Cut-and-Paste technique was the way before computers were invented. After 4 years of the fast pace of daily live news casts, he was sought out by the local competitor , KOA Radio and Television, AM & FM Radio. At 25 years old, he became the Art Director. He held that position and added a few other positions during his years, He was also the Director of Marketing and Assistant Promotion Manager. His avocation was a Drummer in a Rock -n-Roll Band since his junior high school years. Tommy spent his 40 year career loving every day of work as an Artist, Designer and Photographer. Four Emmy Awards and other accolades, local, national and internationally made his Mother proud, that was his life journey, she was his Hero. Tommy and Judy Marès are new to the Northern New Mexico area but his family came from Spain in the 1700's and homestead east of Wagon Mound, New Mexico on their ranch. Familiar with the rich history and local flavor, especially the chili. Together, they love this region, they travel extensively with their Cocker Spaniel, Pablo Cruise. Music, Drawing and Photography keep him entertained in his right brained world. "
