“I consider myself a well rounded artist. I painted with oils since I was
young, 9 or 10. Used to love the smell. Moved on to watercolor in my 20's.
It was easy to carry around. Never mastered it, but fell in love with
watercolor pencils. Sold many works in watercolor pencils, but they all
needed frames. So I started attending woodworking class at Luna Community
College. Why stop at making frames, I thought. I spent years making
furniture and was very successful. The older I got, the smaller the pieces
I made. Now I like making children's furniture because it's easier to
handle. I usually just make it in the summer. When I joined El Zocalo
Gallery, I started acrylic pouring. Took me a year to get the hang of it,
but has turned out a lot of fun, messy, but fun. At present I am exploring
resin art. I have a love of geodes and am trying my best to make pretty
pieces with crystals and stones.“
